Coating Linoleum Floors

White paint plain white eggshell enamel paint slate gray porch patio paint. Rust oleum polyurethane floor sealer. Linoleum has a waxy surface so after you clean the floor use a wax stripper to get rid of the protective wax layer and then sand the floor to create a rough surface. You must clean the floors with a good quality brush and cleaner because you need to get rid of any grease or grime that is on the floor. Whether the linoleum flooring is a few months or decades old it will need a serious scrubbing before you begin to prime it for paint. A simple swish with a damp mop and mild dish soap and water solution typically won t remove the top layer of grime. Don t worry about the pattern on the linoleum you ll be painting on the back.
Time to paint old linoleum kitchen floors. Let this paint dry at at least 30 minutes a couple hours is even better. We used sw porch enamel paint which is suuuuper durable and amazing.
