Clutch Pedal Stuck To Floor Subaru
Diagnosing a clutch pedal on the floor due to failed release bearing.
Clutch pedal stuck to floor subaru. There s a couple of springs that should return the clutch pedal to the up position possibly abnormally slowly even if the mc was faulty. I m driving along and my clutch is just fine i press down to shift gears and it just goes to the floor and stays. The only weird thing is that when you go to bleed it and open the bleeder valve with the pedal to the floor you have to pick it up off the floor again and pump it up to build pressure again. You could damage the clutch the clutch fork or the transmission.
After about 2 hours of steady freeway driving i pull off the freeway and notice the clutch pedal goes all the way to floor much easier then normal. Preparing the vehicle to check the clutch pedal for a failed release bearing. Last summer i was on a road trip out to yosemite. Part 1 of 4.
But you could have multiple problems so the clutch mc remains a suspect. At first i can shift ok but it gets progressively. A failed clutch mc could cause the clutch pedal to stick to the floor but that would be an unusual symptom. A clutch pedal is made for the driver to release the clutch and engage the clutch.
Well it s all good now and it feels like butter when i push the pedal now. It won t come out of gear so i just brake.
